The ICFAI University was established in 2004 through an Act of State Legislature. The founder of ICFAI group of institutes is Mr.N.J.Yasaswy. The University has been approved by the University Grants Commission, under the UGC Act, 1956. The Distance Education Bureau has approved the programs of the ICFAI University and are accredited by NAAC.
The University offers Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral programs in management, finance, science and technology, information technology, education, law and other areas. Nationally the university has 11 branches namely - Dehradun, Tripura, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Mizoram, Raipur, Jaipur, Himachal Pradesh and IFHE Hyderabad and a few others offering courses ranging from graduate to doctorate to certificate and diploma.
